Question 1

What is KohiShifa?

Accepted Answer

KohiShifa is a personal wellness companion for everyday routines. It brings habit tracking, hydration logging, a sleep-routine journal, reflection, mindfulness exercises, activity planning and personal goals into one calm dashboard, with weekly insights calculated from what you log. An optional AI companion can offer general wellness ideas when it is enabled.

Question 2

Is KohiShifa a medical app?

Accepted Answer

No. KohiShifa is a general wellness and self-organisation tool. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or condition, and it is not a substitute for a doctor, therapist, dietitian or other qualified professional. If you have health concerns, please speak to a qualified healthcare provider.

Question 3

Who is KohiShifa for?

Accepted Answer

Adults aged 18 and over who want a gentle, structured way to build healthier everyday routines — for example a steadier bedtime, drinking water more regularly, moving a little each day, or taking a few minutes to reflect. It is designed for people in the United States, the United Kingdom and English speakers everywhere.

Question 4

What does the name mean?

Accepted Answer

“Koh” is the word for mountain in several languages, and “Shifa” carries the idea of restoration and wellbeing. Together they describe what we want the product to feel like: steady, grounded and quietly restorative.

Question 5

Can I try KohiShifa without creating an account?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The interactive demo runs entirely in your browser with clearly labelled sample data. You can add and complete habits, log water and sleep, create goals and view charts, then reset everything with one click. Demo data never leaves your device.

Question 6

How are streaks and progress calculated?

Accepted Answer

From your own entries only. A habit streak counts consecutive scheduled days you marked complete; today does not break a streak until the day is over. Weekly completion is completed check-ins divided by scheduled check-ins. Sleep duration is calculated from the bedtime and wake time you enter. We never invent numbers.

Question 7

Does KohiShifa connect to wearables or measure my sleep?

Accepted Answer

Not today. Sleep entries are self-reported bedtimes and wake times, so durations are estimates based on what you type in — not clinical sleep measurements. Wearable integrations may be explored in future, but they are not built.

Question 8

Does KohiShifa tell me how much water to drink?

Accepted Answer

No. You choose your own daily hydration goal. Fluid needs vary from person to person, so if you have specific needs or a medical condition, ask a healthcare professional what is right for you.

Question 9

Is there a mobile app?

Accepted Answer

KohiShifa is a responsive web app that works on phones, tablets and desktops. Native iOS and Android apps are planned but not yet available.

Question 10

Do you sell my data or show ads?

Accepted Answer

No. We do not sell personal data, we do not run advertising, and we do not use third-party advertising trackers. Our business model is planned optional subscriptions.

Question 11

Can I export or delete my data?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Signed-in users can download a copy of their tracking data as JSON from Settings, delete all of their tracking data, or permanently delete their account. Reflection entries can also be deleted individually at any time.

Question 12

Where is my data stored?

Accepted Answer

Demo data stays in your own browser. Account data is stored in a managed Postgres database with row-level security so each person can only access their own records. Full details, including the providers we use, are in our Privacy Policy.

Question 13

Should I record medical information in KohiShifa?

Accepted Answer

Please don’t. KohiShifa is not designed to hold medical histories, diagnoses or medication lists, and we deliberately don’t ask for them. Keep reflections to everyday thoughts and routines.

Question 14

Is the AI companion available?

Accepted Answer

The AI companion is optional and is only switched on when it has been fully configured and can be protected behind sign-in. When it is not available, KohiShifa shows an honest “Coming soon” state — every other feature keeps working without AI.

Question 15

Which AI model powers the companion?

Accepted Answer

When enabled, the companion uses Google Gemini or Anthropic Claude, depending on the configured server-side provider. AI-generated replies are labelled; the demo never pretends to be a live model.

Question 16

What will the AI companion not do?

Accepted Answer

It will not diagnose conditions, recommend or adjust medication, prescribe diets or calorie targets, design intense exercise programmes, or present itself as a doctor, therapist, dietitian or other licensed professional. If a message suggests someone may be in crisis, KohiShifa shows crisis-support resources instead.

Question 17

Is my tracking data sent to the AI?

Accepted Answer

No account tracker records or journal entries are automatically shared with the AI. You must consent before use, and only the message and recent conversation context you type are sent to the configured provider. KohiShifa stores usage counts but not the conversation content.

Question 18

How much does KohiShifa cost?

Accepted Answer

There is a free plan. We have proposed Plus ($9/month) and Pro ($19/month) plans, but they are planned only — payments are not live and we do not collect card details. You can join the waiting list to hear when they launch.

Question 19

What works today and what is planned?

Accepted Answer

Today you can use the interactive demo, and — where accounts are enabled — sign up to track habits, hydration, sleep routines, activity, reflections and goals with cloud sync. Reminders, native mobile apps and paid plans are planned. Our Product Status page always shows the current picture.

Question 20

Who is behind KohiShifa?

Accepted Answer

KohiShifa is an early-stage, bootstrapped startup. We do not have outside investors, medical partnerships or paying customers yet, and we will not pretend otherwise.
